Yes, KPOP is for everyone, regardless of age. I mean, if it was/is a personal vibe people have come to love and enjoy.

I remember watching a video clip of a KPOP variety show, where it had a 30-something-year old teacher stating he loved Girls' Generation's cheerful music because it helped the beginning of his day when he was in the car about to drive to work. His favorite was "Heem Nae / Let's Go!"

Also, if anyone recalls during the 2nd generation era, not only GG, but a lot of other girl groups were doing the cheery, happy, youthful concepts early in their careers which resonated with young fans as well.
So, if you happened to stumble across those dance cover videos on YouTube, you can see the affect KPOP music had because it was able to encompass fans of all ages.

I hate that idea too. It’s so wrong and so messed up in so many ways. First of all, who says all K-Pop is childish? Second of all, even if it was, who cares? Plenty of adults can love bright and happy music and there’s nothing wrong with that at all.

K-pop is for all ages. In fact, I didn't get into K-pop until I was 33!

Often K-Pop age statistics are based on sold concert tickets. Here's a statistic for Blackpink.

But this statistics are only half of the truth. Perhaps older K-Pop often don't have the time to go to concerts anymore, because of their family, time-consuming jobs or hobbies. Or their ult groups don't give any concerts in their area, and they don't want to spend too much money for longer travels to a concert. If you are the only person in a clique who listens to K-Pop, you maybe don't want to go to a concert alone.

I prefer watching MVs and buying albums too. One day I want to visit a Dreamcatcher concert. Once. That was about it. But ... I didn't visit any Heavy Metal concerts for the last 8 years too. I have about 500 Metal albums, but regarding recently bought concert tickets I wouldn't be a Metal fan.

There are some prejudices against K-Pop in Western countries. Some time ago the Metal scene had similar problems: All Black Metal fans are statanists and burn down churches. All Metal musicians are alcoholics or drug-addicted.

Tattoos: People with tattoos came out of prison.

Oh, and violent video games ... people playing First-Person Shooters are potential spree killers.

It's the same with all subcultures - there are many people that don't understand them. And because they don't understand them, something must be wrong there. Here in Germany video games are part of the mainstream now - no politician talk about 'Killer Games' anymore. The Metal scene is part of the mainstream too - no one talks about Metal fans being Satanists anymore.

When K-Pop got more popular in the West, prejudices like "it's music for teenagers only" or "all K-Pop idols are slaves of their CEOs" will be gone too. In the meantime ... just ignore this claptrap.
