soooooo.......
if you are in high school/finished high school, do you/did you like it?
i'm currently in my first year....i've had a pretty okay experience
it's really hard though T^T
a lot of teachers don't seem to like me....i've been bullied as well....i've been treated like/called a furry even though i'm not....i've even had the principal lie straight to my face multiple times about them saying that they could help me and then the next day, they said they couldn't.....
i'm autistic and i don't like a lot of loud sounds unless it's something like the band (pretty much the only thing i'll tolerate) and they always sound good, so i'm good at tolerating it, but our pep ralleys are ridiculous....they have screaming contests between the four grades to see who is the loudest....i'm so glad that football season is over and we don't have to do that anymore....or so i thought....our team made the playoffs.....we had to do another one....i hope that was the last one....
anyways how is/how was your experience?

it was alright for me. just know that you shouldn’t try too hard to fit in. just find your group of people and you’ll be fine. being lonely in high school is a whole different kind of loneliness.

plus the kids are really annoying and usually have big egos so just keep that in mind

yep, i have my two friends and we stick together ^^ (i'm in my first year of high school currently)

this is true, i'm not trying to stereotype people because not all of them are like this, but a lot of them are....the volleyball girls are really annoying, although nice at the same time...they're so loud in class and ask a lot of questions as a joke...and it's annoying ;-; they think they're funny, but they're not T^T

just try not to associate with certain kinds of people and you’ll be fine for the most part. being around certain kinds of people will cause you to fall. i’ve seen people’s lives get ruined just because of a few friends in high school

i'm starting to have that kind of problem already....it's normally four of us at our lunch table, but one of my friends' cousin's sitting with us and me and my friend are starting to get tired of it...because she's really loud and it causes a lot of people to look at us weird...there's also another person who none of us are really friends with and we never invited her to sit with us....she just invited herself...and we don't really want to sit with either of them....and it's put a lot of stress on me bc i don't like change T^T and we've already been through a situation where we've had to make somebody else leave the table and we don't want to have to do it again T^T

I don’t want to discourage you so I’ll keep it simple. I hated it. The biggest advice I would have is to not be afraid to speak up for yourself and not follow the crowd. Don’t do things that would harm you in any just because others want to - you may lose people along the way but true friends will stay by your side.

I finished High school this year
and it was a constant up and down ride, dont let this scare you, my experience ws just me making really stupid decsions that kinda scared my emotions and my confidence
i also have to agree with @Lunatic here, find your group of people, and once you have them you will be more than set to go
and always be mindful of who you're friends with, cause i was clueless to see that one "friend" i had was a horrible b!tch and i lost alot of my friends, i was the one who started changing and became a jerk, they did what they had to do and left me behind, i was slightly lonely but i still had a different group of friends that i still have today and im more than thankful for them

dont be like me and be blind to who is really your friend and who will backstab you, cause trust me once its too late it hurts...and it hurts bad cause instead of moving forward, i shamed and shamed myself over and over again and it would give me nightmares and it got so bad to where i legit closed my eyes or turned my head away or at the ground just i wouldn't have to see my old friends in the hallways or if i saw then near id runaway as fast as i could i listened to music all the time in class cause it was the only way i could drown out the negative voices in my head, keep me from having an Anxiety melt down and just help the time pass by[/ISPOILER

It was okay I guess. At least if I'm remembering correctly. Some nice, funny kids adopted me once I got into Honors. I was with the same kids all 4 years.
