I have a fear of local anesthesia. I would much rather be put under. I don’t want to know what is happen, they just need to do whatever they got to do without telling me or me being aware. I much prefer being put under, through general anesthesia. I have heard the opposite case where people are afraid of being put under, but not me, I am the opposite.​

I had a fear or ceiling fans when I was a kid lol I couldn't walk into any room with a ceiling fan in it or I'd freak out

Personally I would rather not know. Knowing whats going on is the fear. I would much rather accept the risks than being aware that something isn’t going well

I'd rather be aware of what's going on instead of being put under. There was even a time I freaked about having general anesthesia for a surgery on my mouth that the doctors just let me go under local anesthesia instead

I hope I can have the same thing but the opposite. I would even pay whatever is needed to make sure I feel comfortable. Very glad that you were eventually able to get what you want

i've never been in these situations, but honestly any anesthesia is good to me if it means i wont feel anything

I’m the same way, I physically couldn’t handle not being put completely under for my wisdom teeth getting pulled.

I had gotten my wisdom teeth removed too and I know people who have done local anesthesia for it… those are some brave people, I could never

Same, same I had initially tried to do it because it’s cheaper but ended up panicking.

honestly i am a huge scaredy cat when it comes to medical procedures, like someone cutting into me or something terrifies me no matter whether i'd be aware or not. but tbh my hatred for local anesthesia would probably be bigger too, given that the only reason i'd never want to be put under is that i hate people watching me sleep and the short period of going under would be so awkward but then again i never had anything done that would require one thing or the other, cheers to that!
