Yes, this is on top of learning the ocarina, my weekly and biweekly TTRPGs, gym four times a week, my personal crochet project, and the fact that I've preordered Fire Emblem (releasing Thursday) and Zelda (releasing in November).

I timed it, and it's about an hour and half of reading for me, which is not a terrible amount of time to commit to reading per day. But also pretty sizeable considering I can't read and do basically any of my other hobbies at the same time. So I'm hoping to read ahead when I can.

I'm reading Aurora Rose Reynolds' Fluke My Life series - just started it last week, and it's really good so far! it's a romance, though, so idk if you'd be interested

I'm working on reading the entire Stormlight Archives, which is five books over 1000 pages each, two short stories, and one novella. (Technically, there's also a second novella, but I don't own that one.)

Hence the kind of aggressive goal. It's an epic fantasy series, if you've not heard of it before.

You're a fast reader or I'm just terribly slow, lol, I think I'm going at about half that pace but it does depend on what you're reading. Right now I'm reading Lord of the Rings and I'm slower than ever because of the way Tolkien describes his scenes, I take frequent breaks just to paint the scene in my mind before I keep going.

My reading goal lately has been to read one chapter in the morning, evening or both but right now I'm doing about one chapter split between the two (towers? Sorry, I couldn't resist).

It's a good thing you make goals for yourself!

Personally, I find that I get most of my reading done right before bed. I'll get in bed, tuck myself in and read a good book. I'll stop reading after 30 min- 1 hr, which really helps me fall asleep. Idk everybody's schedule is different but this is what works for me!

That's a really smart way both to get your reading in and get ready for bed! It's said to be better for your sleep to have something calming like reading before bed instead of doom scrolling.

Yeah, that's totally fair! I like a book that lingers, and you can really think about it and it still holds up. Too many books are like ... "wait, wtf was that?" ten seconds after you finish reading.

I normally like to savor and reread really nice sentences too, but there's no way I'll get through the series before the end of November if I do that.

I used to have trouble sleeping years ago
But reading is super calming and 5 min after I put my book down I fall asleep. Works every time
