So we are friends outside of work but tonight we were at a work dinner. So my birthday is around the corner and she goes and talks to the waitress about doing a surprise for me. I had no idea about any of this. As I go to grab another plate from the buffet, apparently this was when she went and asked. I come back and they bring out this cupcake with a candle - it was so cute. Then I sat their awkwardly as all 9 of my coworkers and my boss sung happy birthday to me
