Are most of them smaller posters (A 4, A 3)? If you have a PC or Laptop, buy or (if you can't use it for other tasks) lend a good scanner. Especially A 3 scanners are rather expensive even secondhand, maybe you can lend one. Scan the posters in high resolution and store them digitally (don't forget backups or/and save them in a cloud). Then you could sell or gift the paper versions.
