I met a cutie today (1 Viewer)

Well sort of. My mom and I were picking up something for our fish and I went to look at the reptiles and oh my goodness they had this cutie:

I’m not the biggest fan of reptiles tbh,I don’t dislike them (well I don’t like frogs) I’m alright with pet snakes and lizards but with lizards specifically I’m always concerned about handling them because I feel like I’ll squish them or something.

But I was at one point really considering asking the store to hold him for me so I could do some research up on his species/care. But I have too many animals anyway so I had to be a responsible adult and tell myself no.

But isn’t he ADORABLE!!!?? ​

I wasn’t able to hold him at that time, the store was pretty busy and they were understaffed, he seemed quite interested in people though.

Actually after doing a bit of research on this particular gecko species, handling them isn’t recommended because their skin is so fragile. Its almost guaranteed if you handle them some skin will rub off, so I’m really glad I didn’t ask tbh. I wouldn’t want to cause him discomfort. But they are very friendly based off what I’ve learned about them.
