I might be back??? (Sort of a life update I guess, also hello! 👋♥️) (2 Viewers)

Ngl it’s very weird being here again… I haven’t posted since January 2025 so… I’ve been gone for a while…

But anyway, for anyone who doesn't know me, my name is Wing and I used to be relatively active on here, used to be part of events team, I was the resident Answer enthusiast (go listen to it if you haven’t yet today ) and my ult biases are Yunho (Ateez) and Suga. Oh and I am the crazy chicken lady.

Not quite sure how to start the life update stuff so I’m just gonna jump into it.

• I left KS for a number of reasons but mainly because I felt it was taking too much of my time during the day, and I wanted to focus on other things. In a way it was causing some stress because I felt pressure to be active on here (I put this pressure on myself).

• Kpop… I haven’t really been listening to Kpop since I left KS. I gradually started listening to it less in the middle of 2024 actually. This was again because I felt pressure to keep up with EVERY release and EVERYTHING news related or every new variety show one of my faves did. Again all this pressure I put on myself. I have heard some new releases (most I don’t like tbh) but Blue Valentine by NMIXX is hands down in my top 5 Kpop songs of all time.

• CHICKENS!!! I got new chickens about a year ago, I don’t have pictures on my phone of them but I’ve made a bantam flock with 3 of them (bantams are the tiny breeds), and they’re trained to go into their run when called so now I have chickens that can free range when I’m outside now and it’s so awesome! I love having chickens following me around and helping them find bugs to devour.

• Not gonna get too into this but I’ve had a new job for a little over a year, still in janitorial and tbh I’ve been looking for a new job for around 4 months now because my boss is out to get me it feels like and there’s quite a few annoying things about it that’s making it difficult and very unstable I guess.

• Health is… fine??? I know I had made some threads about my dizziness, it still happens off and on, and my shakiness with it has gotten worse, one time it was bad enough that when I tried to drink something I spilled the drink on myself because I couldn’t stop trembling. I’ve had more tests done (blood tests and EKG) and both came back relatively normal (EKG just showed stuff that’s normal for someone with high anxiety, I forget the words my doctor used to describe it). There’s a few more doctors I’ll be seeing in the future but it really does seem like something that nobody seems to have an answer to unfortunately. I guess some other things that have been going on is just a lot of pain in my body that’s slowly worsening, especially with doing my job, my body has basically aged to an 80 year old woman. Fun times lol.

• Kitties. I don’t even know how to explain this so I’m just going to dive in. Since I left KS I’ve had to have 2 of my precious babies be euthanized. I don’t know if anyone remembers but I made a thread talking about this feral kitten I had rescued and I was asking for advice on how to tame him. I ended up taming him! It took around a month and a half, so many hours, but he became the sweetest and most trusting kitty ever. I named him Gizmo. He became my soul cat tbh, I loved him so much it hurt. I don’t want to get into the very long story but he (and my other male cat) developed urinary blockages from a food I had switched them to. Urinary blockages are very serious emergencies and Gizmo specifically had to be put into ICU, he recovered and then got a second blockage, back into ICU, he recovered and then got his 3rd blockage(all of this happened in a 2 week period). I had spent all my savings on him and the only thing left to do as it was evident he would just keep getting more blockages was a big surgery to widen that area for him, but it was going to cost 5,000 - 8,000 dollars and that’s without considering check ups, meds, possible complication, etc. I had no money and I had no choice but to end his suffering, he had only just turned a year old and I only had 7 months with him. I can’t explain the impact this baby boy had/still has on me.
  
  The other kitty that had to be euthanized was my old girl Minnie, who I had for half my life, she was 16 years old. She had GI issues and had also been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and the combination of the two hit her incredibly hard, she lost a ton of weight and just looked awful. She wasn’t responding to any kind of treatment and I had to say goodbye to her around 4 months after Gizmo. So… 2025 really sucked for me personally.

• However, this year has been going better, for my birthday I did adopt a new kitten. She’s a fluffy gray kitty full of sass. Her name is Willow, I named her after Gizmo (I initially thought Gizmo was a girl and called him Willow for the first 2 weeks of working with him lol).

• I’ve gotten into doing Polymer clay which is really fun to do when I have the time. I’ve only made a few things and they’re not necessarily amazing but I love the process and it’s very relaxing. I’ve also gotten into doing coloring, I started doing it after Gizmo passed to help myself calm down and it’s very helpful for me personally.

Anyways, that’s my incredibly long update. I don’t know if I’m going to be on here very much tbh, I might just post every once in a while, disappear and do it all over again. I’ve been working on my fictional Kpop girl group like crazy so I have quite a few threads to post for them
I did miss everyone and I genuinely hope that everyone has been doing well. I hope we can all catch up eventually.

I'm so glad you're back. Of course I remember you, I don't know how I could ever forget! You were super nice, and still are. I loved how much you love Ateez (the group) and Answer (the song). My family used to have chickens too, so I know how they can be, and I loved hearing about yours.

Great minds think alike too. I don't know if you remember, but I think I became less active/stopping visiting here in late 2024. I only recently decided to be more active on here quite literally a day or two ago. So, I get it. We were both gone for long periods of time, with a lot of overlap in them. We also both distanced ourselves from K-Pop for a bit, although I am getting back into it. Blue Valentine is amazing. K-Pop perfection. Especially that one dance short where Lily is absolutely GLOWING and dancing in the center. Brings a smile to my face no matter what.

I also distanced myself from K-Pop partially because of how much there was to keep up with. Part of my reason for not coming back sooner was due to pressure I placed on myself to respond and react to everything and everyone. I've realized recently that I don't need to do that, and no one will be upset with me if the notifications get too much and I just clear them, then post as normal. In short, as far as your feelings about K-Pop and the forum, I want to let you know I completely understand, and have been there before too.

As for your kittens, I am SO sorry. Losing any beloved pet is very hard. It sounds like you did everything you could have done. Even if it wasn't as long as either of you would have liked, I am sure Gizmo cherished every moment with you. And losing Minnie on top of Gizmo was no doubt awful. You're really strong for going through that. I hope Willow grows into a wonderful cat, but I'm sure she will.

I'm glad you're getting into other hobbies too. It's good that coloring and polymer clay are helping. Who cares if the art is perfect, as long as you enjoy the process, that is what matters most. Whether you stick around for a while, leave soon, or leave and come back, I'm glad you're here, and I missed you a lot. I'm sorry that 2025 was so rough for you. I hope things continue to improve for you.

I wish the best for you and all your animals, I hope that everyone is happy, and hope all health or financial concerns are resolved. Me too. I don't think I've watched any full Stray Kids albums since Maniac era, and I've only seen a few episodes of SKZ code and only the first episode of 2 Kids Room 2025, but I'm working on it.

I’ve been well! About a year ago I started a new job working with infants. I graduated from my early learning college program in June of 2025. I got a hibiscus tree recently that I am now caring for.

I’ve been doing well. Picked up some hobbies (or re picked them up) myself. I don’t think you were here when I picked up rhythmic gymnastics (not the kind I used to do). Also just recently started to play piano a bit again which I enjoy much more now than as a teen And have gotten into cooking some historical recipes, as well as going to some history events here. So lots of stuff that’s been happening for me.

Hopefully you make sure to wrap yourself in bubble wrap before you do gymnastics I think when I left you had just re injured yourself again or something

it's true, it can really get a bit much easily

It's probably best to remove oneself fromt some taglists if igets out of control

But now that I stopped posting 20 Updates on Twice/IVE each day, it should have become a bit more relaxing (I also felt burned out by it, so I had to force myself to stop doing it )
