A general hint for everyone that got confused because of all those new usernames. In the profile, after the username, there's a small arrow. When you click on it you can see the previous name(s) of the user.

You could deactivate this option in your account settings ('privacy' settings). But this would make things even more complicated.

I've asked vikki to implement a function where KPS at least in the forums adds a bit (formerly known as xyz) underneath the name so at least other users know the previous name of a user who just changed names instead of having to go through their profile
