How do i stop somebody from buying a ton of stuff off of shein and temu?
This person will not listen to me. I've tried talking abt the waste, the child labor, the cheap materials, the fake stuff, the ridiculously cheap prices, and overconsumption and they just won't listen. I hate having this stuff be 90% of the gifts i get on holidays. I just don't want it. I feel like i have to be appreciative but then i also feel like that's encouraging it. It's cluttering up our house. I'd rather have only one thing from my list then have a bunch of random cheap crap from these online stores. At least i know that if it's bought from a reliable source, it'll actually be worth something.

What am i supposed to do.... I need arguable facts that I can use. Something or anything that will help.

Maybe a different method would be more effective? It sounds like giving facts to them hasn’t helped before so maybe that’s just not something they’re likely to change their behavior from hearing.

what I do is don't look at the money you have
and ignore it, then you aren't keen to buy anything
unless they are ocd about it
then that's another issue

I used to buy stuff off shein a lot and tbh I stopped because I just go on the website and convince myself I'm too broke for even shein :") that helps me save money and then I end up buying clothes for a bit pricier but at least they're much fewer than what my shein carts were. and they're from higher quality places so it's worth the money and will stay in my closet longer haha
I've cleaned out my closet and donated most if not all of my clothes from shein anyway apart from three or four clothes
but as for your friend or family member doing that, be honest with them. say you can do what you want but if you buy me anything from there I will just donate it to a charity store.
