ummm...it might not be just red meat since my wife had low iron during her pregnancy which required her to be on supplements (not saying you're pregnant or anything lol)

My mom was eating a normal amount of meat (after all, I was cooking and I love meat) and she had to be hospitalized to get transfusions because her levels were crazy low. So yeah, it can go beyond eating meat. It’s pretty normal for young women to have low iron in general, especially with pregnancy like you mentioned though many without too. Just a joyful life challenge.
