I knew I should have never kept talking to her. I really think it's best for my mentzl health that we stop talking entirely but the only two ways to do that is.
1. Be upfront and say I don't want to still be in communication even as friends but then simultaneously put the idea in her head that something specifically bad has happened at this point which is not true but she'd likely draw that conclusion
2. Just stop talking without an explanation but risk ending up in the same situation again because this girl (presumably) still cares about me enough to check up on my wellbeing so this would naturally concern her.
I feel like there's a better solution to doing either that I'm not seeing because I'm either being dense or just not thinking about it the way I should but regardless I need some advice on how to approach it

I personally think stopping talking to her without an explanation is still the best option
