I tried chocolate cake with tomato soup yesterday (1 Viewer)

And I know a lot of people probably look at that and think “what in the shoving every veggie into kids food because they ‘totally can’t taste it’ but they actually can is this?” And I’d probably think the same. But it somehow actually just tasted like chocolate cake. We were trying to guess what strange ingredient it has, but somehow we all just ate it and were like idk guys, it just tastes like normal delicious chocolate cake. It was supposedly there for acidity and moisture. We were all shocked when the person told us what it had. Crazy stuff.

Based on the title, I thought you ate chocolate cake with tomato soup like you would a grilled cheese. And I thought that would be gross AF, dipping chocolate cake bites into soup!!

But just a can mixed in to the batter would probably work. A "hidden veggie" recipe does well balances the flavor enough that it's not like "why did you ruin my cake with tomatoes."
