I didn't have butter... so I put it in the microwave and zapped it for a minute - it was yummo! Has anybody else ever tried this hack?

oh, I didn't toast it. I guess is wasn't really a grilled cheese, just a cheese melt lol but it was still yummo

Grill the cheese itself. A good cheese has as many fats as it needs to make it grilled.
If it doesn’t, it means you eat a fake product I just use a little olive oil. But that’s rare.

Ohhh that makes sense. I have seen olive oil and mayonnaise used but butter has been the default. I honestly don’t know how to make a grilled cheese without burning it

isn't the ingredients just bread and cheese and for it to be grilled
does one really need the butter?
