I....... don't know how much clearer you want the packaging to be written.
It already has "Sour Then Sweet" phrase on it.

So, in other words, there was no "lie."

Maybe the sour crystals covering the candy did not affect you, but I recall it being sour for about the first 7 seconds, then once the crystals dissolved, they became sweet.
