I wish I gotten this on video (1 Viewer)

So in our flock of chickens we have two roosters, they’re both fairly sweet however as they’ve gotten older they definitely don’t like lots of pet’s anymore. But one of them, Hey Hey (yes from Moana) has gotten a bit more fiesty than the other rooster named Stitch. He puffs up to make himself look bigger and a few days ago he went to charge at my mom. So we really want to fix the behavior before he gets to thinking that what he’s doing is okay. So anyways, to the actual point of this thread: My mom and I were out replenishing our chickens water and food a few minutes ago and as I was setting out the containers from the chicken run, Hey Hey pecked me pretty hard on the leg. It thankfully was only a peck, he could have full on attacked me and that would have been much more painful. Thankfully it only left a bruise. But I knew once he did that, that I needed to pick him up to show him that I am in charge and that what he did was a very big no no.
And he… I really wish I had it on video so you could experience it all with me, but I picked him up (which like I said earlier the boys don’t like pets anymore so he hasn’t been handled in months). And he flipped out, just imagine the most awful animal-like noise and that was him. All of my family was in the backyard when it happened and everyone just ran over to see if he was okay only to find him pathetically making that noise in my arms. Even the other chickens just looked at him like-
Anyways he calmed down and after I gave him a good talk and holding him for a bit longer I think he got the message that pecking is not allowed.

Anyways here’s a oldish picture of him, he’s a bit bigger now with more colors in his tail feathers .

He is very beautiful indeed, he has so many different colors in his tail feathers now like blues and greens. I hope so as well, mean roosters are no fun.
