There's a Report button on the bottom left corner of your original post.
You just have to click it, and in the pop-up Report Content box that appears, you select one reason for reporting the thread.
To get it closed, select Other at the bottom and type in a brief description.
For example ~ "I would like to have this thread closed since the issue was resolved."
Or something like that.

Then, whoever receives the message in the Moderating team, they will go ahead and lock the thread.
