leslie cheung has no competition amongst idols imo, even with the successes of his hong kong golden age peers
anita, faye and co I think are still better known for their music (despite critical and commercial success in film) while others like takeshi have had their film careers eclipse their musical work; the others don't quite have the same level of international and critical recognition

discography: monica, left right hand, wild wind, past love, sleepless night, etc
filmography: a better tomorrow, happy together, farewell my concubine, chinese ghost story, days of being wild, etc

his impact outside of hk/china too the south korean 2020 rescreening of farewell my concubine got postponed to the 17th anniversary of his death and he still gets a decent amount of references in kdramas/varieties these days

To be fair to Kyungsoo he was in the military from July 2019 to January 2021, so unlike Jackson or Eunji he’s had to take a mandatory hiatus from idol activities. Since he came back though he released Empathy and had an EXO comeback to go with his acting projects.
