if red velvet had solos (1 Viewer)

what would you like them to sound like/want the concept to be ??

this isn't very well thought out, admittedly. i was just listening to "stay tonight" and seulgi popped into my head, so this thread was born.

irene: "illusion" by yuri
can’t you just hear her singing this with her deep, smooth voice ?? it's classy, mature, and slightly dark. it's her. i would add a killer rap though so that all of her talents could shine. she would kill the chair choreography, too, though i'd make the choreography a bit more complex because she's a dance god

joy: "eclipse" by kim lip
originally i was thinking something cuter to fit that whole "sexy-cutie" image she has, but the idea of her singing "eclipse" was just too good. i think she doesn't get enough opportunities to show off her dancing skill, so this would be the perfect opportunity because she isn't half bad at it. her unique vocal color would really shine through here too

seulgi: "stay tonight" by chungha
imagine seulgi voguing and hitting those high notes. it fits her girl crush image without being too over-the-top. i love the madonna vibes this song has. seulgi has a diva voice, so it would fit really well

yeri: "bbibbi" by iu
it's cute but not too cute, and her soft, sweet vocals would sound great here. the song's message is fitting as well. i can see her doing the catchy and fun choreography. overall, everything about this would be amazing

wendy: "rain" by taeyeon
this was the hardest one to pick because her voice honestly goes with any style. i went with this because it's r&b, which is the genre her honey vocals suit best in my opinion

I think you've got their styles spot on to be honest.

great choices! especially eclipse for joy, i'd love to see my favourite rv member sing the song by my favourite loona member

[emptycup]

I can see Joy releasing something like this

Irene gotta sing sth like/or just sing a korean cover version of Taylor Swift's haters song "Shake It Off":

Nvr gonna happen ofc bit id love to see it, maybe in 5 yrs time when Irene has retired from being an idol n left RV n mebbe SM. Best revenge for getting hate for reading a book. N other things, where she did no wrong. The wrongs she done she did apologize for but the hate was there long b4. I said it. Its out there.

i wanted to do the whole group along with the members who haven't debuted solo yet. i went off of her musical style for my suggestion

I particularly agree with Yeri and Wendy. I have always thought that there were something similar in Taeyeon and Wendy’s voices. Yeri gives me a IU vibe since Dear Diary.
