do you take teens or young adults serious? I'm 21y old and i jhave some older acquaintances like 30-35y old
I've known them quite a while now but here is what I've noticed:
They do not take me serious and say that my generation is doomed.
They say I have been living a much easier life than them and that I don't know how to work hard for something.
That everything i say that they dont know is made up by "tiktok" lol?
That we don't know how to enjoy our 20s.
Literally making fun of me being in my early 20s lol?

Like wtf, why do u even talk to me if u don't take me serious?
Seems like they are very mature for their age yeah lol its just so funny
I've literally given them so much respect but they treat me like shit???
idk what to say honestly it pisses me off so much

IDK if I count but I'm 29. I have problems with teens ALOT because of the generational gap. Especially when it comes to stuff like aave and other more recent things. Like I'm pretty sure there are new things they've made that my generation has no clue about. When we try to talk to them or correct them because we were raised different, they say we are wrong and are a bad person because of it.

When I say teens I mean under 18 btw. Usually over 18 I never get in arguments with.

No I get you. We are raised different and we should all acknowledge that from both sides. There is no wrong side or right side but we should respect each other no matter what age. AND there are tons of kids and teens with literally 0 respect for anyone above their age..

which is why i can understand why a lot of adults dont take teens serious or as in my case ppl in their 20s
but not teen/young adult is like that obviously lol

I have tried in the past to treat anyone on the same level as me; but not everyone appreciates or understands it. Anyway, I don't usually approach people in general in real life, and if someone holds me in no regard at all, I'll just not try to approach them.
