sooo yk there's this thing called s mode?
i kind of want to switch out of it but i feel like it'll damage everything on my laptop
has anyone switched out and how was it?

i've never opted in in the first place, and from other people i know opting out should be just fine as long as you do it properly
edge is honestly pretty bad, you're better off switching out and getting firefox or something lmao
just make sure to follow the official microsoft instructions (it's on their website, just look it up). good luck!!

you can download tons of apps (it's restricted with s mode) but if you change it you can never switch it back, plus edge is bad imo but i still use it lol

it's not actually part of edge, it's a windows feature that basically restricts you to only be able to use edge as a browser and only download programs/apps from the windows store. it's supposed to be for "security" but honestly you'd be more secure with adblock and a decent antivirus lmao

Imo, Edge is better than Chrome. I mean, you get a news feed on the home page. Some people don't like that but I like getting updates on topics that I want to know about. Also the Rewards system is so nice because you can literally get paid for using Edge. I mean, who doesn't like free money?
