Right, I'm 100% sure that's the only reason why I remember the Chex mix "appetizer" so well at the one wedding lol.what most people remember are the little issues that caused problems like the lack of a kids option if kids were invited or if the food was subpar or there was a big break between activities or the speeches went way too long
That's cool as hell!! Details like that are nice.the other thing I remember are the weddings were things were done very differently from the "norm". I remember at a weddding bride and groom were massive pokemon fans so instead of a toss the bouquet of flowers they tossed a box of pokemon cards lol which was pretty memorable
that's because things that are different stand out so they get ingrained to your brain - like my pokemon card bouquet example - I cannot remember what food they served since it probably wasn't that memorable (it doesn't mean it was "good" but just didn't stand out from the norm)Right, I'm 100% sure that's the only reason why I remember the Chex mix "appetizer" so well at the one wedding lol.It would have just been part of the background if the wedding party had arrived and had food served on time.
I'm sure the food was perfectly serviceable, both at that wedding and all the others I've been to, but not so terrible or wonderful to make the specifics stay in my brain.

Right, it's like a quick "oh that's nice" and that's only a maybe if it happens to be particularly noteworthy.I've only ever been to one wedding almost 30 years ago and I can't say I was paying attention to the flowers as much as waiting for when I get to throw rice at the groom. I don't think I would have payed much attention today either, though. I might notice but it would have exactly 0 meaning.
