Oh, this is amazing... so far. lol it cut off at like the second paragraph, though.
Slender, pale fingers rifle through the papers in the filing cabinet. A silver, most likely expensive, watch rests on the delicate wrist. If your eyes wander up, up, following the arm, then to the neck, then to the face, you will be met with a Mr Park Jimin, a lawyer at the Bangtan Bank.
Now, Mr Park Jimin is not what he seemed. Blessed with a round face and cheeks, and innocent eyes, one would expect Mr Park Jimin to be a sweetheart. But one shouldn’t judge just from appearance alone. Past his doe-like eyes, his sweet smile, his soft and high-pitched voice, and his small build, Mr Park Jimin is a fox. Sly, witty, and dangerous.
And Mr Park Jimin is done dilly-dallying. He has papers to do, files to sort, and quite possibly, someone to murder. After all, there was a certain accountant who constantly got on his nerves. Always butting into his business, always- always smiling so damn loudly. They irked him. Greatly. Even when he cuts them off (politely, it wouldn’t do to harm his reputation), leaves whenever he has the chance, that damn accountant is undeterred.
His hands find a letter opening, running his finger along the edge of it before plucking it out with precise fingers. This would do nicely. After all, he doesn’t need much to accomplish what he wants. It’s how he climbed the rusting rungs of this bank’s social ladder. Jimin knows everyone, and everyone knows him.
It’s hard not to. Jimin has a large personality, friendly, sweet. But only if you make an effort to know him. Because foxes are solitary. He has no need for small talk, just as you have no need for ice cream. You only hear of his friendliness and kindness— only six other workers at the bank truly know Jimin.
The heels of his freshly shined shoes tap on the tiled floor. The sound echoes through the empty building, but the accountant doesn’t look up, engrossed in the catch-up work they are tasked with. It is a perfect opportunity and Jimin’s hand tighten around the letter opener. He is so. Close. So close to finally having the peace he so desperately craves.
His free hand comes up, almost brushing their back. He can feel the warmth radiating through the suit jacket, and he leans forward. The accountant’s head jerks to the left as his face lingers next to theirs.
Jimin offers them a bright smile, not betraying a single thought he had as he reaches out and grabs an envelope from the stack in front of the accountant. “You don’t mind if I borrow this, correct?”
They flash him a quick smile, teeth annoyingly white. “Of course. I didn’t know you were staying late tonight, Jimin. Would you like to grab coffee?” Jimin’s eye twitches, but they don’t notice.
“Why, yes, I was planning on it, but I might not after all,” the answer Jimin gives is not hostile, but his eyes hide annoyance. Of course, they were staying late- always a perfectionist and trying to be the coworker of the year. It was just plain annoying. “I have a couple things to plan.”
Jimin doesn’t elaborate, so the accountant just throws him another smile and returns to their work. His white-knuckle grip on the latter-opener loosens. Another day, another time.
For, Mr Park Jimin is a fox, and foxes know when to retreat.
