So those of you who have been here a while may remember that I was facing an issue with my stove. The issue was that I’d turn it onto whatever heat I need, cook some stuff, and then suddenly the stove would heat up to the max heat possible despite the heat being set much lower than that. It was annoying and I didn’t like it, but it happened rarely. Still managed to burn some dumplings when it happened, but generally I was able to deal with it. But it’s getting way too frequent. 2 days ago it happened once. Yesterday it happened once. Today it happened twice, and I only used it for half an hour. It’s usually able to be dealt with, if I’m there and the cover isn’t on and I realize it’s cooking more intensely than it should. But when I put a cover on it’s harder, and sometimes I don’t want to babysit the food while it’s cooking. Like a meal that takes half an hour where I’m prepping ingredients there anyways sure, that’s fine. But what if I’m cooking something and it has to simmer for 2 hours? I’d like to be able to leave it alone with a peace of mind knowing it won’t burn but I can’t at this point. Not to mention that’s not the only inconvenient part of my stove/oven combo. One of the burners (a big one) doesn’t work at all. One (a small one) works but occasionally starts fires. If we’re there we can put them out quickly enough but still not ideal, i avoid using that one. The oven is mostly fine, just heats unevenly so we often have to rotate things but that’s pretty normal. Why can’t our stuff just work properly?
We won’t discuss the garlic crusher I broke or the knives falling apart, and I’m sure I’m missing some things.
