Monday onwards my college re-opens but I don't wanna take the risk of contracting the covid disease, esp. since I have a little sister and also my Granny lives with us. Plus some kind of placement interviews will be going on for a specific list of students because of which 80-90% of my class would definitely be empty. Should I go to college or not?😭
(P.S. My parents don't want to send me either, but my teachers are kinda threatening us)

no one should be threatening you, no matter their words, they are legally obliged to follow the law and if you feel unsafe, please stay away. having members in your family who are in the risky category is a legit reason for staying home. (as if your own personal safety wasn´t, oooof).

It's so weird because in Germany we have a special form to fill out if u have a family member living with you that would be in danger to to you going to school etc. and if you have you get to stay home and do online school at least, i don't know why they wouldn't do that somewhere else too because it seems like a simple solution.

Would you still be able to attend courses etc. through online sites when you stay home?

Yeah, hopefully, have to try contacting one of the staffs regarding this because many had refused to come but our teachers are like the ones who would should their wrath on our answer sheets so we're kinda sceptical of not attending class.

nah its still not as good, we're extremely behind with vaccination its actually embarrassing

if there are more people than you, you are safe. there is always power in the crowd. I highly doubt they can do that as they might just be p**ed off by the situation because they have to overwork and also THEY might have someone at home they don´t want to infect and they are worried the same way you are, but they HAVE TO work. but hey dogs that bark don´t bite. just don´t let it get into your head.

We've been having online classes all this while and it's been going pretty smoothly tho we've gotten a bit sluggish ngl. But idk why have they suddenly taken this decision of re-opening the college despite parents going against it. The other colleges have taken a decision of letting students voluntarily attend offline classes while the rest can continue with the online mode of classes.

parents council? I mean this is super dumb on their part. I´d say sue them but why getting yourself in trouble. but if I were in your place, I´d try to communicate with the admin and maybe even write a petition or something like that. make it a group thing, just to cover your butt and stay on the safer side. you want to graduate after all :D. but the health of your family is the priority here as well as your education.

I've discussed it with my friends and they, too are sceptical of coming to college but since some interview is going to take place on the college campus, they're forced to come but they're still in two minds anyhow.

Can u just go to the interview and attend rest of classes home? At least the risk would be smaller even if there would still be a risk
