similar situtation happened in my country in january 2020, after jungkook was chosen somewhere as the most handsome man alive or something along those lines the presenters on one tv channel here called him "not masculine enough" and a guy from that same show was running on the street asking for people's opinions on his looks... while showing photos of j-hope, not jungkook regardless of what fandom you're in this is pathetic and disgusting

i will never understand why its considered wrong for westerners to enjoy eastern music (or any foreign music for that matter) because its in another language, but its totally normal for easterners to enjoy western music. like. theres no way all eastern people who listen to our music can understand english. but we still consider it normal and in fact they """should""" enjoy western music.
and of course, if we do we're just worshiping them and putting them on a pedestal for being pretty faces. yeah, totally.
