Crutches may be useful but they’re never fun. But crutches in wet snow/ice conditions? They are so so much worse. The bottoms of them (or at least mine) get very slippery in these times. Last week when I went to get my new brace I actually slipped because of the snow and had to catch myself with the leg I want supposed to put weight on. Thankfully today I didn’t slip but I was scared I would tbh.
I do have good news. Today I even started walking around (still with the support of the crutches ofc) but still, I was walking to some extent for the first time in about a month. It felt really weird tbh but also made me happy.
