I was on Quora and I saw a question that caught my focus. The person had asked something along the lines of "How do I make my menstrual cycle go away?" And the person answered and said "What seems to be the issue? Just suck it up and push through it like women have for the past decades and centuries." And this just made my blood boil. I understand if you can't give much advice in that field because not a lot of non-doctors can do that but the amount of ignorance you have to then say we should "just suck it up" is immeasurable. Have you ever experienced what feels like your insides being poured out? All of a sudden your clothes are drenched in your own bodily fluid and your chest is sore. You're famished but at the same time you have no appetite. Everything's cold, then everything's warm. Cold, hot, cold, hot. Wanna go to sleep? No can do because you'll spend the whole night trying to find some odd looking arbitrary position that's less painful to sleep in (Spoiler alert: you won't). Try and see if the medicine in your cabinet does any good but whatever it is, it'll wear off the minute it's done digesting. Or if you're one of the lucky ones, your body will be entirely bedridden so you won't have to worry about trivial things like getting out of bed to eat and excrete waste and such. Your school or office won't let you call out sick because if it's not the black plague it's simply not that important to them. Chose between the fun options of sitting on a sanitary napkin all day and feeling like you're wearing a baby's nappy or shove some rolled up cotton up there and risk a bacterial infection if it sits too long. If you ever dare to be pissed off about these inconveniences, you're just being a dramatic hormonal PMSing bitch, you're not supposed to have emotions silly. And if after all that you still think it's like a silly little common flu that you have to sweat out I'm just gonna assume you either don't menstruate or don't have compassion for human beings and want us to suffer
