The Indo-Aryan language branch is a subset of the Indo-European Language branch. Despite some expectations though, it’s a branch of languages found in parts of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, etc, and has nothing to do with the Germanic language branch. Hindi/Urdu is the biggest language of the Indo-Aryan language family.

Gujju is another. Under Indo Aryan would be Sanskrit and then many the currently spoken languages (north and central) stemmed from Sanskrit.
Sanskrit you'll find used mostly for religious prayers and text, otherwise it's not used for daily stuff.

The South Asian languages are Dravidian which is its own language family entirely.

I used to find it interesting how the south part of India have Dravidian predominantly, but Sinhala in Sri Lanka is a Indo Aryan language too. Despite being very much off the coast of Southern India. There’s probably a history explanation I’m not familiar with for it
