I meant company as in romance. I know how the company of family members feels like. Friends? Not so much. The only people I had considered friends have been online.

I won't bother to put this in 18+ spoiler as this is already in a sensitive thread. A relationship where there is an emphasis on openness both in relation to sexual activity and honesty. Like I said in another thread, as a gay man I always have concern for sexually transmitted disease as HIV still poses a risk disproportionately for gay men... As such I would rather know if a partner had sex outside of the relationship rather than be monogamous and said partner afraid the relationship would end given a revelation of infidelity..

Put simply, I don't care to have multiple romantic partners living in a commune like setting, but rather have a one-to-one romantic relationship that is open to having said partner, and myself, having sexual experiences outside of the relationship...

So you want an open relationship so you can minimize the chance of getting a disease basically?
You do realise that whether you in an open relationship or not, people can and will do still lie in your face
Having an open relationship does not guarantee people not going to manipulate you
