Born December 4, 1984, Jelly Roll is a country artist who dabbles in Southern Rock and Hip-pop. He turned his life around from having a felony conviction to becoming on of country’s biggest acts. His dongs have true raw emotion.
Previous to his music career he had an aggravated robbery charge. “We robbed a couple of guys for some weed,” he acknowledged. “It was a heinous crime, admittedly … It was an armed robbery, we went in there with a gun.” He served seven years probation for the crime.
His father was a meat salesman and worked as a bookie on the side; his mother suffered from mental illness and addiction. Throughout his teenage years, Jelly Roll was arrested several times and spent time in jail for various charges/felonies including possession of marijuana and aggravated robbery.
Bunnie Xo, Jelly’s wife, was raised in Las Vegas and was an escort for several years. Like Jelly, she's battled addiction and helped people through it. He has two children; one daughter born in 2008 and one son, both from a previous relationship.
In January 2023, Jelly Roll scored his first number-one song on Country radio with his debut country single "Son of a Sinner”.
He made a surprise appearance to a mental health facility in Canada and met with the people there. Nashville star Jelly Roll sang four life-affirming songs and shared the story of how his life turned around during the visit. This was before he performed at a music festival and was his first time visiting Canada, or internationally.
