Is being a boy group/girl group/multi stan connected to your sexuality/romantic attraction? (1 Viewer)

As in

If you are panromantic/sexual are you a multistan and therefore possibly attracted to anyone in the idol industry
If you are straight/heteroromantic are you a girl group or boy group stan and attracted to the opposite sex?
If you are gay/homoromantic are you a stan of the same sex group?

OR

Does this not reflect at all? For example, are you a gay man that stans girl groups mostly? Are you aromantic/sexual and still a boy group/girl group stan etc?

wow, I really don´t think it has anything to do with that simply because I don´t view them as sexual objects so ... why would sexuality have anything to do with them? it´s not like we are planning a wedding (could be, could be :D)

not really. I'm asexual so I'm never "attracted" to idols, no matter the gender. I like them all equally. but it does seem like an interesting concept. to have your sexuality be reflected in your idols and stan choices

For me it's musical genre; not whether it's a boygroup or girl group. It happens that the alt-idols doing heavy rock that I like are all girlgroups, so that's what's available.

it doesn't mean that you're sexually attracted to them necessarily but some people tend to bias groups of a gender that they are attracted to in general. If you want to date guys or are interested in guys maybe you are boy group stan because you like to imagine dating them. I for one am not sexually attracted to anyone in the idol industry but I mostly stan boy groups because I like guys

i think the reason it occurred to me is because in america at least, stanning a group like one direction usually meant that you are romantically interested in boys, i don't think i ever met a one direction fan that only listened to them for the music

at least all of the crushes i used to have don't happen that much, i mostly put all of my maternal/sisterly love into adopting all of the new rookies that have come out this year

Also, this thought is something to think about, but I personally don’t think it (your sexuality) affects who you Stan really.

I only know of Super Dragon. They began with heavy rock; but now they are doing genres that either I don't care about or I hate. I may be stanning them now if they had stuck to this kind of concept:

that's too bad, do you know if they were unsuccessful and that's why they changed genre? in kpop sometimes if the sound is unpopular then the group is forced to change their sound :/

I don't have a clear idea; but it seems to me boygroups are mostly followed by girls and I've gotten the impression that heavy rock or metal is not favoured by girls. I may be wrong; but it's my impression.
