Today NCT dropped this spoiler for their album


and it kinda of reminded of why i like NCT despite not knowing too many about the members.... i like Jungwoo, Jaehyun and Taeil they are my biases, they have good voices and it made me think how much they stand out compared to other groups.. they have a great color to their voices unlike many nugus and very popular groups, you can feel how they struggle to sing but NCT do it very effortlessly without sounding nasally and annoying... props to SM they always have the best vocalists and performers...

there are a lot of groups who really sound unpleasant to my ears. (no need to mention anyone, i don't like to target anyone). i want to know if it's just me or does anyone else here also ignore some groups because they sound effy!!!

If they sound bad then that means their music is bad, no beat is going to save that

One of the reasons I love NCT vocal line is because 1> they talented obviously, but more importantly, 2> So many unique vocal colors in one group. You can always tell who's singing. Haechan, Taeil, Jaehyun, Yuta, Doyoung, Jungwoo all have amazing voices and all sound distinct af. I mean even Taeyong, Mark, Johnny do lol.

On paper, I think they might be one of the most talented lineups around.

Anyway, on topic, it depends on the type of song. If it's something vocal heavy, the voices are important. If it's just a club banger or something, then I don't care as long as the voices don't actively take me away from the song. Sometimes, I don't mind autotune as well for that reason.

I usually start to stan because of the music. then i move on to the members later........for example my first song by Stray Kids was Hellavator but i didnt know the members for a long time till i wondered who changbin wasO-O

Same with Ateez.....my first song by them was either Say My Name or Pirate King.........

I dont stan a group because of the members or such because i'm not gonna stan a group with music i dont like
