with Aespa, Idle, Ive and Red Velvet topping the charts now, is Korea's dislike of idol groups slowly coming to an end?

at least girl groups anyway

There's always groups that do well here and there but compared to times where idol groups were really succeeding like 2016 then this doesn't come close to measuring up.

I'd say the stigma against idol groups is still pretty prevalent. It's not unusual for a couple groups to succeed in charting and public appeal but idol groups generally are still not cared about by Korean public I think. It's pretty true that the household names in Korea when it comes to kpop are basically the same as they were since BTS got popular

they have been flopping digitally for the past 2-3 years. there's hardly any idol groups charting on Melon top 20 right now and the only 2 boygroups in top100 are bts and btob.
