Is SM Entertainment ever gonna release a BG that is not part of NCT? (1 Viewer)

I just wonder if they are going to keep putting members into NCT, possibly reaching like 40 members at one point or something, create new units or if they will just debut a brand new BG in the future that doesn't have anything to do with NCT

I, for one, think that NCT as a project was a bit too ambitious and the whole idea of different subunits in different countries was never destined to succeed, especially now that virus is being a bitch. I do think that all SM trainees that debut up to 2025 at least will debut in NCT. It doesn't need to be Korean unit, it can be NCT Blues, NCT Rock, NCT Country, might be interesting to see. NCT Nippon is something foreseeable, tho. Probably NCT 139 or smth.

I know but I think they're likely to have more Korean trainees under their belt, and they can't always just shove them into countries that they aren't familiar with.

I think we're gonna get one more "Korean" unit which will have the 3J + the new two in it and then the rest of the new NCT units are gonna be mostly foreigners and for foreign markets.

You see, I don't think there is a strong motivation for them to debut a Japanese unit because they are giving NCT 127 Japanese albums plus Japan would be really easy for them to recruit from if they were gonna do that, I feel like they would have done it already. I think they're gonna focus more on countries where it's harder to send the idols back and forth to like South East Asia...

I've always been under the belief that NCT is a solution for them to not have to debut another boy group again so they don't have to build up another group but instead they fall under NCTs brand instead and this will mean they wouldn't have to worry as much with members leaving so if they debut a completely different boy group then likely they're backtracking on NCT
