Another thing I've noticed and come to love about Soyeon's rap verses is, her rap breaks never feel like a detour from the rest of the songs. A lot of groups are guilty of this, even if they have very good rappers.

Soyeon's rapping is more like her just floating along with the beat and that makes it even better to listen to. Latata, Hann, Wow Thing, Pop/Stars all showed this and the songs were that much better for it.

It helps when the rapper writes or has some input in the creation of the songs beyond their particular verse(s). LE does this as well. It's the only way to not end up with your standard one-and-done appearance in most gg songs.

Yeah that's why many rap verses feel unnecessary, out of place, just there to give the member some lines in the song etc. I'll be jamming to the song and then the rap break comes and just takes me out of it lol.
But when someone like Soyeon or LE does it, they know how and when to fit a rap verse in and the song flows much better as a result.

Errr...I think her style is already unique and not rehashed from any other rappers

I think (especially when she does songs with G-Idle) that shes forced into that Hyuna sound (same with the clc rapper).

So hearing her in K/DA was so refreshing because it’s more of her natural sound ^^

Really? Interesting, I think Yeeun was forced into Hyuna's voice more than her, but 3 of em have this similar raspy tone when rapping maybe thats why :pepeaww:

Honestly from what I've seen yep. Her rap in Popstars was a bit too lot ngl.
