Is stanning a subunit the same as solo stanning? (1 Viewer)

For example, Astro's Moonbin and Sanha is my favorite subunit ever and I definitely stan but the group's music as a whole isn't really my thing, so I just consider myself a Moonbin and Sanha stan is this the same as solo stanning or being OT(whatever number of members)?

I'd say solo stanning is more about liking an individual and being ambivalent towards all the other members, stanning being that you enjoy two or more members including their interactions with each other
personally, there are groups that I stan where there are members that I don't really care about
eg. in bvndit I really appreciate everything yiyeon brings to the table, but I wouldn't stan her even if she was in another group if you understand what I mean

it's the other way around for me with astro

tho for subunits, i only loved snsd and rv subunits so far and i love them as much as i love the groups so

As long as you don’t disrespect the other Astro members, you can solo/sub-unit stan if you want.
