I can't listen to The One by the Backstreet Boys anymore without crying and thinking about this camp I'd gone to the month it was released as a single. it was just a bad experience - most of the other kids made fun of my fandom, and I lost a camp talent comp to THE GRANDDAUGHTER OF THE FUCKING DIRECTOR! UGHHHHHHH I was so pissed bc not only that, but she just stood there like a tree, singing in a monotone, while I performed with dance moves and everything. So yeah, that camp is why the song makes me cry.
