I’m specifically talking about GenZ/millennials. I’ve had this argument with someone earlier. They believed there is something wrong with this generation because we more openly talk about mental health. Yeah it’s caused by the trauma your generation gave us

The other reasons that there is something wrong with our generation is that apparently we don’t wanna work, and we don’t have good work ethics. We just don’t want to be treated like shit and be appreciated for what we do

And finally they argued that we are special snowflakes who put too much thought into sexuality. Apparently it is not normal to like someone who isn’t the opposite gender, must have a sex drive, and people who wanna change their gender are crazy. No f*** you ​

The horror, talking about a existing problem? No, we have to ignore it, not get help, and not let anyone know that we have any issues. Unless the issue is that you hate your spouse. Then it's totally fine

For the second you aren't allowed to comment on being treated wrong. Underpaid? Harassed at work? Being denied some of your rights and getting ignored when you try to seek a compromise? The only way to solve those is by doing nothing. Doing nothing always causes your life to change and for things to become perfect.

And lastly, of course it's stupid to talk about anything you may feel if it's different than the norm. How you feel isn't important because what's important is how I feel, no one else. And if I think somethings different than me then it's bad. We must all become identical, all just like me. So because I'm x sexuality, that means that talking about the gender I like, sex, any other stuff in that umbrella, thats okay to talk about 24/7. But if you're a different sexuality or gender identity then of course mentioning anything related to it once a year is talking about it way too much, like can't you shut up for once? That's not allowed because I said so

What happened to loyalty of a company? You’re supposed to work there till you die even if they treat you like shit.

I noticed smth a out myself. The other day i realized now kids get money prizes in our school when they are first in their class. In my days we only got books, which i still liked but the comparison... And i began to talk like 'back in my day' ...etc.

This thought about work is the same. The generation before us had a harder time indeed, and they were used by their employees. They are in a way jealous that we already benefit from what they achieved. Instead we should be happy for each other.

The difference is people put up with less shit. There's more communication and more documentation. I think there is sometimes less work ethic but also sometimes it's people realize they don't need to impress the boss because you still end up laid off. Quiet quitting as it's called is people doing what they are paid for and nothing else.

I had an argument with my singing techer (she's an amazing person) about how housing prices are so high that it's hard for us to get live somewhere without our parents and she literally said "but when we (1980s people) were young we couldn't travel" okay???
