Apparently the design was potentially proposed to another country. They didn’t want it. Two magazines put it on their list of stuff like “ugliest statues”. And then it was offered to another city, which that city declined. It doesn’t look amazing but idk, it doesn’t look so horrible to me to be on a list of ugliest statues
