I mean if you think about it, HYBE was in a similar situation and they did absolutely everything in their power, to diversify. In my opinion they also did a really great job at that.

If BTS dissapears today and never returns, it will obviously mean a big loss for HYBE, but I would not be worried that the company will go bankrupt, as they have established enough other great groups now (or just acquired them like SVT)

Teddy is the genius, not YG in my opinion. But even Teddy's magic formula is kinda wearing out now, ngl. You can only recycle the same stuff 20 times. I love BP, don't get me wrong. But at some point, a breath of fresh air is needed.

But when you think of it! BB was just as HUGE as BP is when they disappeared! Albeit, that Seungri thing happened but still......
The one thing BP avoided tho, is DRAMA! they were very successful with that! So yeah, its a tad different ig

Nope, I honestly wonder if the company can survive Black Pinks departure. I think we're about to see an implosion. If they have taken loans out with stock as collateral and the stock drops at a minimum the difference and sometimes the entire loan immediately comes due.

maybe speaking for korea only, but looking globally there is no comparison, BP is a million times bigger. Just look at Lisa being the first idol to break 100 mio IG followers soon. Not many people on this planet can boast that level of individual popularity! (less than 40 actually)

BigBang was the biggest Kpop BG on planet earth before BTS came along! Ask any old hag in here, they'll tell you! If you compare an eye for an eye, ofc BP is bigger! But if you consider the evolution of the genre over the years and the outburst of popularity in the West, they are both pretty near the marker!

I understand what you mean, but those new factors are the reason, why its simply not possible for YG to act in the way they did in the past
