I think it's rather easy to guess, Finnish people tend to have quite similar characteristics, but in other hand lot of people don't even know Finland exists so..

Many people assume that I am Sri Lankan (a country which is just beneath India on the map) because I live in an area where there are many Sri Lankans. Although I do speak the same language as half of them (Tamil) so it's understandable. I'm actually South Indian but I've been asked many times if I'm Sri Lankan.

So, you could kind of say it is easy to guess due to where I live as there are many minorites. But, if you went to a different part of the country or a different country altogether, then people normally assume I am Indian or Pakistani. Still kind of easy lol.

Haha no worries, no apologize needed, even if that’s the first time when I hear someone saying this. Is it the way it sounds or something else? I hear people complaining it is a difficult to learn because of the grammar for example.

Looks: no. Apparently I’m racially ambiguous (but that’s because Latinos are extremely mixed). Get confused for a number of ethnicities.
Accent: I have a valley girl accent that gives me away. It just confuses the hell out of our family since 1) we do not live near the Valley 2) no one in the family has a Valley Girl accent. Just a Californian one
