Italian or Spanish? (2 Viewers)

because I constantly want to broaden my horizons and especially so when it comes to languages, I keep falling into that trap of which one to decide "Italian or Spanish"? I know my English is really bad so maybe I should start there :D, but the more languages you know, the better you understand their functions (and now we are talking about language as a science aka morphology, syntax etc.)

so which one would you choose and why?

I think it would be easier for you to learn Spanish. More sources, more movies to watch, lots and lots of famous songs. It sounds like such a sexy language too.
That being said, I'm learning Italian for migration purpose and I never thought I would love it so much. You could try watching netflix tv series in both languages and see what you prefer.

are you moving to Italy? ohh that is awesome and which city?
I mean sure, I could, but I have heard both languages spoken and seen both of them written. They are both so pretty! it is really hard. yet, people say that Italian is harder to learn. I wonder which one is closer to French though?

it´s not an easy language so don´t beat yourself over it. you are pretty good at English though! are you planning to learn any more languages?

nagh, pretty sure you have enough stuff to do. I also don´t expect myself to be fluent. I mean there is no reason, it´s not like I´m going to move to either of the countries or to even travel there :D. but well, that passion.

Tbh Idk how close Spanish is to French but I studied French for a short period back in years and it's really helping me with memorizing the words. I'm slightly biased toward Italian but I think objectively Spanish might come off more useful in general

Spanish seems more useful/practical however I have a soft spot for Italian and would definitely go for it first even if I never get to use it irl lol.

well, the only other Italian show (though that is not an Italian show :D) I have watched was Baby and also I don´t remember the name it was a tv show about the Italian Mafia. it was good for a while but really brutal. the language is just charming. I had an Italian teacher and she was fierce! :D

Haha I only learnt 2 phrases through Vincenzo and they're both curses- well Italian is one of the most colorful languages when it comes to that
One is che cazzo which is like what the fuck, and the other is vaffanculo which is go f yourself

I'm a native Spanish speaker, so the choice for me would be Italian, unless the goal is deepening my knowledge of my own mother tongue and study its grammar together with linguistics.
