Since December 18th 2017, when Jonghyun committed suicide. Tbh I wasn’t sure whether to make this thread because I’m not very good at sharing my emotions, but he’s too important to me to just ignore this day. I know there’s others of you that can remember the day as clearly as I do, the shock, maybe disbelief, and the sadness. For me, he was my ult because of a lot of reasons, but primarily because of his personality. He wasn’t just talented, he was kind and understanding to everyone. He stood up for lgbt rights in a even less accepting time, he was open about his mental health struggles, and he used different platforms to share advice to others and share his own experiences when there was a bigger stigma against mental health in Korea. To be honest I didn’t get into Shinee until early 2017, so theres been significantly more time without him than with him, but the mark he left will never be forgotten. He was truly an incredible person, and he is still missed to this day by many people. Thank you for everything Jonghyun, you did well.

I remember seeing Jonghyun for the first time when I got into kpop in 2012 and his aura immediately captivated me. He was my comfort idol in tough times. Fly high Jonghyun

awwwwwwwww Vix... I felt the same way when he died. I don't stan Shinee anymore, but he died just as I was getting to know them and I'd even considered biasing him, so it was still just as devastating as if I'd already been a Shawol.
