Just found out someone I've worked closely with for years got a promotion that will have them doing something else. So I sent them a message like: "Heck yeah!! You're going to be awesome! Congrats on the career change!"

And they sent me back a very formal response about how they appreciated our time working together.

I'm sure they're just copying/pasting the same thing to everyone, but it is funny. I'm way more excited for your promotion than you are, dude!
