Rosé of the group Black Pink has signed a management contract with The Black Label, headed by Teddy.
"I signed a management contract with artist Rosé," The Black Label said in an official statement on the 18th. "Producer Teddy and artist Rosé, who have been working as producers and artists for a long time, recently signed a management contract with The Black Label based on their strong trust in each other."
"Currently, Rosé is preparing to meet global fans with new music, and she will work with global record companies around the world in the future," he said. "We hope that Rosé, who has unique musical colors, and The Black Label, who pursues free activities of artists, will meet the best synergy."
He added, "We promise to provide support for Rosé to play more diversely in the future."
The Black Label is an entertainment company founded in 2016 by one-time producer Teddy. Group Big Bang member Taeyang, group I.O.I. Jeon So-mi, singer Zion.T and actors Park Bo-gum and Lee Jong-won are affiliated.
Teddy has continued to connect with Rosé by making several hit songs by Black Pink, including Whistle and Boombayah.
Meanwhile, Black Pink signed a contract with its existing agency YG at the end of last year regarding its activities as a whole group. At the time, Blackpink officially announced that it would take a so-called "separately and together" strategy, walking its own line, not YG, for individual activities.
