Mental problems seem to be a big problem in Japan, especially depression. There's a forest on the flank of Mount Fuji called 'Aokigahara'. It's also known as the 'Sea of Trees' and 'Suicide Forest'. There were so many suicides over the years that there's a sign at the forest entrance.
