i kinda agree tbh. it wasnt that amazing or awe inspiring like people are making it out to be. i was honestly bored watching the performance. more backup dancers or a powerful choreography would have made it interesting to watch. i will say that its the best stage and camera work for a kpop performance so far tho. loved the intro and the girls did well but the outfits, the dance, and the stage presence just wasnt there. kill this love or dddd srsly lacks without their mvs. should have done forever young or DKWTD instead. rose's professionalism tho. her and lisa killed it. jisoo is my bias but she was overshadowed a lot by the others besides jennie.

lmao im glad you took all the time to nitpick at literally some of the littlest things. also, Jennie always broke the choreo for her rap part so she could get comfortable on stage, her walking behind lisa like that has always been apart of the choreo. shes also not the first person to break the choreo. also i love how you only picked clips from d4 instead of picking clips from kill this love. i havent seen the full performance but from what ive seen she seems fine. im not saying its the best performance ever but shes not really doing anything wrong. i'm sorry if i seem a little defensive but i'm kinda tired of people picking some of the smallest things of performances so they can discredit jennie.

We act like all idols have such amazing charisma on stage but tbh there’s are a lot who give just average performances. But we never see them scrutinized.

That's the worst part. Anyone can become an idol nowadays. They are called idols for a reason. They are supposed to be perfect product, representing perfect human being. Every idol SHOULD have amazing charisma and fantastic performances.

EDIT: Also, the idol system sells fantasies and whatnot, but come on. We know it's not Hatsume Miku up on that stage. We know they're human. I neither demand nor expect perfection from humans, regardless of their profession. Yeah, they're called idols because that's the system set-up and what the industry wants to sell to us, but I call them singers, music artists, etc., because one, I don't worship idols, and two, I know they're human. So, if demanding perfection is the basis of your criticism, then of course it'll be difficult to be pleased.

Why should we? People should not have to pretend to be perfect, we as human beings should know how much imperfection exists in the world and in ourselves to not judge others so harshly based on imperfections that everyone has.

America does not have idols. America just had a show called "American Idol" that produced singers nowhere near idol status. Korean entertainment is extremely different and that's well known. Every agency works towards debuting "the perfect girl group" with zero flaws, who will be a commercial success.
