That makes sense! I don't remember what I was expecting but I don't think I expected anything very J-POPy like you described. I thought they were going to do more of the style of KPOP meets Japanese music like they have been doing with Twice.

I saw Do Not Touch on a YouTube ad in class once. My teacher was looking for playlists to play in the background while we were doing our work and there was an ad for Do Not Touch! I started smiling stupidly but my teacher skipped it as soon as she could and no one else cared lmao. But I was like 🤩

Ikr? That would've been so cool if we watched the entire ad through. But I didn't say anything since I'm kind of embarrassed to express that I liked KPOP in the first place at my school. It's not like there aren't fans (there is) it's just I'm shy and I don't know how people would react.

If you were to ask me what the most popular groups were here, I would say:
1. Stray Kids - If you've ever heard the statistic that Stray Kids is one of the most popular KPOP groups in the US, trust it because it's pretty spot on.
2. Twice - This honestly surprised me but also made me so happy because I've met a girl who collected Twice merch, another who had Twice on her as her computer background that was mostly Chaeyoung, and 2 who saw my tote with the Twice logo all over it (official merch from the "III" World Tour) who were like "Is that Twice?" And I had a friend who was a Twice fan who said her favorite member was Sana.
3. BTS - My friend's boyfriend loved BTS and I have a friend who loves Suga and BTS in general. And her friend also really likes BTS

But here are all the other ones that I remember that I've learned that people like at my school: Blackpink, Loona, P1Harmony, Itzy, (G)-IDLE, Ateez
