News JTBC unveils new survival show called "Peak Time" (1 Viewer)

On June 20, JTBC revealed a pair of teasers inviting any boy group to apply for a spot on the show. “PEAK TIME” hopes to provide opportunities to groups that have been hit hard by the pandemic, are not as well-known due to taking long breaks or experiencing frequent member changes, have recently debuted and need a boost of publicity, or want to showcase their talents to the rest of the world.

The show will be produced by the creators of “Sing Again” and is unique in that it will be the first idol audition show to have teams competing.

According to the production team, experts in relevant fields such as producing, performing, and visual directing will be assisting the participating teams. The contestants will receive detailed coaching from a world-class experts to compete for a spot at a worldwide idol showcase.

Any Korean male idol group that has debuted is eligible to apply, and applications are now being accepted through the show’s official website and social media accounts. The program will air in the first half of 2023.

Yeah it seems they have good intentions but I can only imagine this won't go well seeing how The Unit went

JTBC have left a wide gap too for applying, if the show isn’t due to air for another year. It’s like you said, the good intentions are there, but they don’t seem to be executing it well.
